As we know, the flower could stay fresh with the proper flower care guide. How could we do in order to let the flower still in fresh look condition after few days? This question always asked by flower buyer.

There are few useful tips to prolong the life of fresh flower. As we all know, the most important is kept away from direct sunlight and high temperature room. I think this important tips need not to explain more as we all understand about this.

Then what is the way we could do in order to extend the lifetime and fresh look of flower? The answer is with proper good care to flower. How we do that? It is Checking the Condition of Flower Daily.



Cleaning of Vase or Container

First steps of the Flower Care Guide is when we receive or buy a fresh flower, automatically we will put the fresh flower in a vase or container. So the first thing we need to do is always keep the vase or container in clean conditions. Failing to do this, it will reduce the lifetime of fresh flower. And never forget to pour water inside vase or container. :)

Few days after, we have to cut the stems. This step is require a sharp knife or scissor. This re-cut stems steps is important because this has the function to let the flower drink (absorb) water. Before start, we should remove the flower from the bouquet, after that, remove ¾” to one inch from the bottom of stem. We should be very sure to cut the stem with an angle that could let the flower could absorb water. The angle could be 30º or more.

This step could not done by smashing or piercing the stems, it is harmful to the water vessels of the stems! This could let the flower loss the function of absorbing water.

Another important tips which flower care guide would like to share with you is before place the flower inside vase, remember to remove any damaged blooms or foliage that falls below the waterline in the vase. It is because the damage bloom or foliage could affect the quality of water inside the vase, it will reduce the lifetime of the flower!

You should clean the vase or container before filling the water. The water temperature should be similar with the room temperature. Addition, be sure the water is clear, without any debris or bloom / foliage, this is promote the growth of bacteria and affect the quality of water. We also can mix the commercial fresh flower food in the fresh. This flower food may get from the florist. The flower food contains the correct ingredients to nourish the flower properly.

The flower care guide also must let you know most suitable temperature to take care of the fresh flower is between 65 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit or 18 to 22 degrees Celsius. Of course it should avoid direct under the sunlight and heat or high temperature room. Some of condition, like direct under the ceiling fans, on top of television or radiators are also not suitable to place the fresh flower, this will cause the flower to dehydrate.
