As the name of double late tulip, the blooming period is falling on the late spring. There blooming period typically after the Double Early Tulips but before Triumph Tulips, Darwin Hybrid Tulips, Parrot Tulips, Lily Flowered Tulips, Single Late Tulip

This tulips has many petals so that there are has alternative name of Peony Tulips or Peony Flowered Tulips. These flower blossoms are very large and many petals, it could be 4 inches or 10cm across when fully open.

The plant could grow about 16 inches high and blooming period on late spring. Although they bloom late, but there are very long lasting, so it is possible to has a beautiful bloom and condition well into the early summer

This double late tulip should be planted in the protected location, there are easily damaged by the rain and wind. This may because of the large and heavy blossom. However, it is excellent in mass planting, rock garden.
