This type of coelogyne orchid flower is not as common as cattleya orchid flower, so it might not easily found at flower shop. This type of orchid able been found at India, China, Idonesia and Fuji Island.

The name of this orchid – Coelogyne is derived from the Greek words, which is kiolos  and gyne. The meaning of kiolos mean hollow whereas gyne means woman. Therefore, the name of coelogyne is derive from the convate stigma which this founded on these kind of orchid.

Among the specis of this coelogyne orchid, the most colour available is white. Sometimes there are also with the appearance of shade with the colour of brown, green or peach. Some of this types of orchid require cool environment, whereas some of these suitable in fairly warm condition.
