Origins
The botanical name of Amaryllis is Hippeastrum, which the name of Hippeastrum derived from Greek. From the Greek name of Hippos, which it has the meaning of ‘horse’. At the Amaryllidaceae family, it is native from the South Africa and South America.
Description
Amaryllis has big blooms, which there are two (2) flowers per succulent thick stem. It has trumpet shape and leafless stem. This flower has wide range of colour, which include red, pink, orange and white colour. Some of them are having varieties petals with striped.
Arrangement of Flower
These flowers are suitable for fresh cut or pack in potted bulb kit. When this heavy blossom opens fully, it may need to extra security to support the blossom. The stem of this Amaryllis flower may be curl and tends to the outward when stand in the water, but this would not affect the fresh life of flower. To overcome this problem, you may wrap with a piece of clear tape or rubber band around the end of stem.

These flowers are winter flower, so it should store in cool place. The perfect temperature is between 41-50F.
